HR1 RIOT Exhaust

Time for a new sound. searched and searched and seached some more, and I love the look of most exhausts available, but ive been stuck on something. Something you dont see too often, a shorty on an f4i. except for the "moto GP chrome tip" straight pipe. I'm lookin for thattiny little muffler that just sneeks out. after searching everywhere, all I found was the HR1 Riot shorty.

what do ya think? sound, look (comes in other colors)

do you know of any shorty exhausts that will fit the f4i?

i think the riot is okay... i do know that scorpion makes a good looking shorty for the f4i.... try lookin it up.... also you could find a short off another bike and fab it up with little work...

Dont the f4i's have to have the O2 sensor?

teko1020 02-10-2010 03:59 PM

The O2 sensor is not a bike specific thing. It is for the state of California because of their emission laws.

all F4i's from 2002 on have a o2

Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooosh. Thanks for completely missing the point.

No.... You DO NOT need the O2 sensor unless you live in CA.

I am in NC...if i was to remove it would a warning or a light come on?? if i took it off would it be louder or give off odd smells?

purpleslug 02-11-2010 12:10 AM

you need it in big citys in oregon that have DEQ also and i think same for washington

fairman86 02-11-2010 07:33 AM

you can always buy the O2 sensor "bung" which can be mounted pretty well anywhere. drill a hole put the "bung" in place tack weld it in a star pattern, so not to warp the threads. finish the seam weld and all is left is to screw in your O2 :) makes it easier to turbo things lol :D

as far as i can remember the O2 sensor (if you have one) is located just after the collector in the header, this exhaust looks like it would have enough to grab onto after taking off the stock pipe. you can go to their site, this pipe is around 500$ for such a small little thing.... which is a little pricy... but after hearing that video, and it being exactly what I want, im gunna have to go for it.

seeing as how I have a k&n air filter and want to change the exhaust/do the clean air mod i should prolly be investing in a PCIII usb? is that the best one to run on our bikes? i have a local dyno near by @ 85$/hr funny part is there a honda/harley dealer. would it be best to take it to them and get them to tune it?
