here's a video of how these theives steal a 2007 600 RR. Just watch how long they actually scope out the area and how fast they shove it into a van when they're confident.

I'm assuming this isn't the first bike they stole. If this is how they do it each time, I honestly don't know how they don't get caught. If I was one of the vehicles at the stop light or one of the cars that actually drove by while they did it, I would automatically assume they're stealing the bike and report it to the police.

I'm not gonna try and stop those guys, cuz they probably carry guns, but I'd at least givethe police a good description of the van and thieves as best I can. Van's probably stolen or with fake plates. If I had nothing to do, I'd probably follow them from a distance and stay on the phone with the police until they catch em.

Some places in Cali are planting dumby cars around the city, that lock the thief in, then can be controlled via Remote. They locke them in then F with them for a bit, then arrest them. They should plant dumby bikes with GPS to track them down and arrest them

 

alot of times, the van is also stolen, or the plates on the van are stolen...... beleive me, if crime is your bread and butter, you cover as many angles as possible........ how hard is it to steal someones number plate..... 2 bolts/screws...

 

DAMN, i watched it last night, def a fast procedure! it was actually hard to watch to be honest. This prob happens more than you think[:@]even w disc lock or 2 disc locks it can still be done, although w a Xena Type one w alarm it would bring more attention for sure, whether or not they would move on depends on how badly they want it etc. Guess the only real safe bet is to have it anchored to something? end of the day if someone wants your bike odds are its gone! wonder what the stats are for stolen bikes ie make model year etc? But ya if i witnessed this i would prob do what ddaren did.
