How much should I ask?

So it's a very sad day... because today I realize I can't afford to keep any of my toys with my new house purchase and engagement in sight. So I've decided for the time being to sell my bike, but I have no idea where to begin with the price.

I paid $1700 for the bike last winter, it has ~30k miles on it. I put new fairings on it (then dropped it...on both sides :icon_doh: but the scratches are not that noticable both drops were in the driveway), and it runs perfect. It has pretty good tires, a new front tire. How much should I be asking?

I'm going to assume he is talking about an F4i. I don't know how you got it for 1.7k but that's sick!
Ask for $3,500 and be ready to get haggled down to 3k even.

ask $3500 but be willing to take $2000. Sight unseen I wouldnt say more than $1000 tho.

$1700, bikes depreciate in value, Ill offer you $1500 :) Could always use a second f4i!

Start w/ KBB value. Then realistically adjust for mileage/condition/accessories.
In my area, your bike (from what I can tell in the pictures) would easily go for 2k+.

Sorry it has to go. Good luck w/ your sale.

Depending on when you sell(before riding season) and how patient you are, you can get $3k here in socal. My friend spent $3000 on a F4i with 30k miles with a few mods. Wasn't worth in imo but he still got it. Ran without any problems too.

Do you have the mirrors you can put on it. As a buyer I would buy a bike with mirrors over one without unless the price was too good to pass up. It also depends on how big of a hurry you are to sell it. If your not in a hurry I say start high cause who knows you might get some kid with more money than brains come up and pick it up then your sitting pretty. Its a lot easier to lower the price than raise it.

is that an akrapovic slip on/full exhaust? i would be very willing to trade my stock exhaust + cash and shipping with you before you sell. let me know..
