How much do you pay?

RE: How much do you pay?
All you with progressive insurance tell them you are going to drop them and use someone else or just drop them for a little while. I ended up dropping them for about 2 months and now only charge me $250 a year instead of $700. The guy at progressive said they do this all the time, just tell them State Farm can give a much lower rate unless they can beat it and they should lower your rates. And i didnt have a C&I when i was paying the 700, but they knew about it now and still gave me the 250 instead. Just call them and scare them a little about losing your business.

RE: How much do you pay?
i have everything but collision and i pay 83.50 a month. So im in the middle i guess. Im 23 going on 24 and im with geico. The progressive doesnt work. Progressive rates and md just went up and thats why i left them. They were charging me almost 200 dollars a month. They jumped from 125 to 195. At the begining of this year. I dont have any tickets, or violations on my record. Its clean and im still being put in the ok bracket for insurance. As for credit score ist above average by a lil bit and i was told they look at it to see if you pay bills on time and to make sure you arent spreading ur self thin. The lower the score the higher ur preimium will be and not all companies sue this only a fe.

I can vouch for the credit thing. Most all insurance companies look at your credit in giving you a rating. They figure that if you're in a world of debt you have less to live for (HA HA HA).

RE: How much do you pay?
I live in MA so the rates are controlled by the state so no matter what insurance agency you go to you'll get the exact same rate. The only discount you can get is if you've taken the MSF course but I got licensed in RI and I had to take the MSF course in order to get my license so it worked out for me. I pay $310 for the year on my 1999 Honda CBR 600 but that's for minimum insurance, no collision, no theft, no comprehenisve. I've only had my MC license for 4 months so I am considered an inexperienced driver.

RE: How much do you pay?
I'm also riding in MASS and havent insured my bike yet because I'm dumb and thought it would be worth it to wait til April that way next year I wouldnt have to inspect until the end of April... My friend whom I bought it from left his april 07 MO plate on it so luckily no cops have randomly decided to run the plate the few times I've been riding. Anyway, AAA gave me a quote of 108 for the whole YEAR!!! this is the minimum and also stating that it would primarily be garaged in Wayland, MA where it'll be garaged in the winter. If i wanted full coverage I would have to say it was garaged in Boston in case I had to file a claim, in which case I think the quote was mid 500s. This is for someone with good student discount, MSF class, 96CBR600 and nothing on his record.been riding for about a year--cant believe it's only been a year, how could I be so foolish to waste the past 20???

RE: How much do you pay?
I was about buy a left over brand new 2006 Honda CBR F4I this weekend and thought I better check on insurnance, So I called my insurance office ( Statefarm) and the lady told me that it would be $1959.82 a year for full coverage![:-]I'm 24 and will be 25 in June. So I called off the deal. That's crazy for them to ask that much to insure a bike, that's up there with my C5 Corvette! Guess I'll try to find a good used F4 and just get liability on it.
