IM about to buy a 99' CBR 600 with 18000 miles but in reality it only has about 16,000 because it has an aftermarket sprocket with bigger teeth...my question is would 16,000 miles be to much on a 99' how many miles do the CBR's usually go for? Plus its a super clean bike and im getting it for like 3000

 

There's no magic formula for how many miles you're gonna get. If a bike is well maintained there's no reason it shouldn't go 30K+ miles. $3000 is the absolute upper limit I'd pay for a '99 600 though.

 

I'm going on 28,000 on my '04 F4i, and it still runs like the day I bought it. If you maintain it right and don't beat it silly, they'll last!
