How does the Honda 919 compare to the F4I?

Hello everyone! I am just wondering how does a 2002 Honda 919 Hornet compare to a 2002 CBR F4I in terms of speed, acceleration, top speed, handling...etc. I am debating which one to get. A 2006 all stock F4I that has scratches and dents for $3200. Or a 2002 Honda 919 with a Yoshi Exhaust and pretty much in perfect condition! for $2800 I had a 2002 F4I and loved it! power was really good and acceleration was a dream. Would I regret getting the 919? thanks

919 - 96.4 HP, Top Speed: 143mph, 0-60mph: 3.22s, 0-100mph: 7.27s, 1/4 mile: 10.79s @ 123.54mph.

01 F4i - 96.6 HP, Top Speed: 155mph, 0-60mph: 2.89s, 0-100mph: 6.61s, 1/4 mile: 10.59s @ 128.23mph.

06 F4i - 90.1 HP, Top Speed: 156mph, 0-60mph: 3.52s, 0-100mph: 7.94s, 1/4 mile: 11.26s @ 121.56mph.

Hope that helps!

Wow JeffJones! Thanks for that link, i finally get to compare the bikes haha. Wow i never knew the 01-03 models are faster than the 04-06, what's the reasoning there?

I believe they toned down the 04-06 model and gave it the bannana to make the RR look like it stands alone more.

So how would the 01-03 F4i compare to the RR?

Personally I am not a fan of the 919 but that is because I do not like the look of the "naked" bikes. The only cool thing on it to me is the dual exhaust but the nanner seat, big circle headlight, the gauges it all does nothing for me. The 919 was tuned for more low to mid range power as opposed to the F4i and other sport bikes that are tuned for high end performance. Here is an article on the 919 and Sports Rider seems to like it but if it was me it would be a easy choice, the F4i all the way. Back In Black: Honda 919 Road Test - Sport Rider magazine

id love to own a honda hawk or hornet as a second bike. Ive got a soft spot for those streetfighter styled bikes i think theyre pretty cool and they look fun. However, I dont think i could trade my f4i or any other modern streetbike for one though.

I do believe the 01-03 f4i's will beat the 600rr (or at least the 03-06 ones) in a straight line. Get two equally good riders on them on the track though and the 600rr's newer technology will leave the f4i in the dust.

This is all I could find:

(HP) (Torque) (1/4 Mile)

CBR600F4i ('01) (95.5 @ 12,500) (42.6 @ 10,250) (10.71 @ 126.7)
CBR600RR ('03) (105.4 @ 13,500) (43.7 @ 11,250) (10.94 @ 127.1)
CBR600RR ('05) (106.9 @ 13,750) (44.6 @ 11,000) (10.49 @ 133.3)
CBR600RR ('06) (105.6 @ 13,250) (44.8 @ 10,750)(10.87 @ 128.5)

yeah look at those trap speeds the 600rr has way more top end and should start to pull the f4i a little bit after an 1/8 mile....after ~900-1000 feet maybe? from a roll id give it to the rr
