wow i just watched the video and the sound of that scorp pipe sounds nice. low sounding exhaust is always good... could you tell the difference also in performance from the akra to the scorp?

This afternoon I went for a ride, and it does seem to make a difference in acceleration. At higher RPMs everything seems smoother, including the power curve. It could be the PC map I'm using. Before, with the Akra slip on, I was using another map recommended by the PC guys since there wasn't a match for the Akra. I think it was for a Micron slip on. The map I'm using now is for a Yoshi pipe.

hmmm... interesting! that's what i need to get too is a power commander with my bootleg pipe. even though i could feel the difference much better than my yoshi pipe everyone is saying to get one and to get it dyno tuned to get the most out of your pipe. even though it's just a slip on, i feel that there is a change in air flow/back pressure etc that's associated with it. with that all said... i'll let you know how it feels as well.

Pics of the bike with and without headlight on, with the red LEDs lit.

The ones without the headlight are a bit fuzzy, but I like the effect of low light on the digi camera.

That bootleg looks almost the same, amazing.

The Scorpion mid pipe is very large diameter maybe 3", but it narrows to I think about 2-1/4" to mate up to the header. But unlike the bootleg can, the Scorpion pipe just touches the lower fairing, so I had to use a spacer for it to clear. If I didn't do that, I figured something might melt.

wow... 459? that's a little pricey but maybe cuz it's a new product. if you're looking for bang for your buck for that price you could just get the bootleg and power commander for the same price and just get your bike dyno tuned to max out HP and fuel/air maps. but then again that pipe is pretty sweet tho. just not so sure about the price just yet

I picked up the mesh on ebay a while back. The listing heading was:
"HONDA CBR F4 F4i CHROME MESH GRILLE GRILL VENT SCREENS"

It included screen for the sides (that you need to cut yourself) and pre-cut ones for the front intakes. I didn't like how the intake ones looked, so just used what they shipped me to create the ones on the sides.

As it happens, I've got red LEDs all over the place, including on the frame spar just down and to the left behind the intake opening.

Except you didnt do the smaller hole on the bottom of the fairing...can't forget that!

...also its much cheaper to buy just a sheet of "grill mesh insert" metal and cut the pieces yourself... I did both fairings and the front with one piece for $15.
