Honda specific service departments
I just purchased an '02 F4i woohoo!! and would like to get new front and rear tires installed and balanced. Is it recomended to go to a non-Honda dealer service department who only sells Yammies, Kawis and Suzuki? Or should I only stick with an authorized 'Honda' dealer? I mean the non- Honda place says they service 'all' models and the previous owner had it serviced there so I'd like some info if it's ok to continue going to non-Honda dealer. Thanks.

RE: Honda specific service departments
I would think as long as they are a reputable dealership that deals with sportbikes, they should be able to mount and balance a set of tires for your bike. I don't take mine to a honda specific place to get work done on it. As long as the people there are knowlegable then you should be fine.

Tires is tires. A set of Pilot Powers on a R6 are the same as on a F4i.
Just make sure they know what they are doing and POINT OUT any scratches on your wheels when you take it in. That way you can chew some *** if any new ones show up when you pick it up.
I will stick to changing my own.
