RE: Honda F4i Speedometer Calibration Question
Speedo healer = only way. I just put one on mine after I went up 3 in the back, and it works fantastic... used a GPS to calibrate it to the tenth of a MPH so my speedo is dead nuts accurate. It saves your max speed too which you can recall later by pressing a button... pretty cool!

RE: Honda F4i Speedometer Calibration Question
What he said....
I have one and I think they should be factory standard. All bikes are off, an average of around +5mph in the lower speed area. It's not a set thing, like it's always +5 mph, it increases as you go faster so 120 may be around 105. See what I'm saying. Most don't like to admit to it... cuase it's cooler to say they hit 170 on their bike instead of 140's.
The top speed is a fun feature to play with... I do all the time, but think about all of the extra miles on your bike that you're not actually riding.

RE: Honda F4i Speedometer Calibration Question
DUDE Thanks for the info i checked out the link and found a dealer at calsportbikes.com and i ordered the Plug-n-go Honda kit with the remote Max speed recall button and it was $106 and has many options on it. I cant wait for it to get here so i can install it and calibrate it and not to mention take my bike to the track and use the max speed recall because you know the damn speed sensors at the track are not acurate. Thanks again man i will post to this thread as soon as i get it on and test it out.

RE: Honda F4i Speedometer Calibration Question
Ok i have not been able to get a cop to radar me or borrow someones GPS and i have not yet tried the distance method to calibrate my speedo healer BUT i did use the online calculator they have on the web page and i used the Gear calculator and only checked the box for the gear changes and it came out to be +11.3 speedo error and it told me to set the SH to -10.2. Now my question is can i put the +11.3 in the factory speedo error box where it has +5.5 and put a 7 for my tires where it says 5 because they are alomost gone and use that reading it gives me (-11.5) to calibrate my SH or just use the -10.5 it gave me the first time? That is a -1.3 difference and will make a big difference on my speed i just dont know if i did that right, nothing else on my bike is changed just bald tires and 15t front and 48t rear sprockets when it came 16t front and 46t rear.
Thanks for the help i hope i can get this right and quit putting so many miles on my bike

03Dude...how about a really lo-tech idea? Drive by one of those "how fast are you going" boxes they put in the roads. The trick is finding one.

RE: Honda F4i Speedometer Calibration Question
yea those cant be right im riding around right now with the calibration numbers i got from the speedohealer websites online calculator but that only compensates for the gears not the tires or anything else. I dont know if its right cause i can go the speed limit and im still passing cars. I need a GPS with a digital display like 65.4 mph or i need a cop to radar me to check if im close or not or someother way i dont know.
