Hey just got my 2002 cbr600 f4i
Hey everyone I am new to this forum and just wanted to say hi and tell I just got a f4i too!!! I have to say its an awesome bike and it like night and day compared to my old kawasaki EX500. Also I wanted to see if it was a good deal. I paid $4000 exact for it. It has about 9000 miles on it. The tail is pretty cracked from it being drop in the garage and there is a small chip on the windshield. Also it comes with a micron exhuast(im not big on that), a power commander, shogun sliders, hotbodies undertail and flashmounts, and some extra gear. So I was wondering if you guys think this was a good deal or not? Also I need some advise on the maintenance schedule for this bike, like what to check and when.
Thanks

not sure how you could get new plastics and paint for free? but if thats the case yes you could most likely get hte money back out of it.

1. Fixing the plastics will add value.
2. Custom paint will NOT, and may put off buyers if you are worried about resale. I know when I see a custom paint job there is a 99% chance that bike has been asphalt surfing.
3. Get the factory service manual. You can download it all over the web. It has the maintenance schedule and will answer all kinds of questions.
Due to the number of idiots working at bike shops, owning a manual is an invaluable tool in wading through bull**** that they may try to feed you.
