help wont go into 5th or 6th gear!

hey guys i'm new to the bike so this might be something obvious i'm missing but the other day i replaced the kickstand and pulled the link on the shifter off to move it out of the way.

i put it back on, and now when i ride it i cant shift into 5th or 6th gear it just stops at 4th. i counted a few times to make sure and i am. idk if maybe i put the shifter in a wrong posistion or something.

or do you have to be at a certain speed to shift because i was trying to shift into 5th around 40mph and it just felt like the shifter only went up about half as much as it usually does when it shifts.

sorry if its a dumb question like i said i'm new.

any help will be great

If it were me I'd try adjusting the shift linkage based on what you said you did

Yeah that's what I plan on doing. Is there that many posistions for the linkage to be in? I'm just hoping it won't take all day with a trial and error process. I don't understand how its good enough to shift up to 4th but won't afer. Just doesn't make sense to me lol.
