Default HELP PLEASEE!!!!

HEllo Fellow riders.

Im new here and i was hoping i could get some professional oppinions. im in the market for a used cbr 600. the one i came across is an 01 cbr 600f4i with 11k miles. the guy is asking 3000 for it. he just sent me a pic. and the gas tank looks like it has some dents in it. (he said he had laid it down once) do you guys think this is a decent deal. ( i know alot of factors arent present to give a 100 % yes or no. but based on the facts i have given and the pic do you think this is worth it

The tank is from a different bike, so if it's dented he either crashed the bike and bought a dented tank to save money, or the bike has been down more than once.

Unless it was a pretty ridiculous crash, not too much will be damaged aside from plastics and things that stick out like bar ends, rear sets, etc. As long as the motor has been decently maintained and not stunted dry or something, $3k is a decent deal for the lower mileage. Haggle him down, see what happens.

Offer him lower like 2500 and let him come back up. Remember once you offer a price you cant go lower, you can always go higher. As long as there is no serious damage and the frame is straight, the motor runs good, then I think its a really good price. Your always going to have some cosmetic damage looking at a 7 year old bike.

Check your levers for scratches, check to see if the plastic air duct covers are actually attached to the plastics (a wreck would more than likely break those measely brackets)
Check your stator covers for scratches, and check your cluch cover etc.,

ok thanks for all the help guys. this will deff help me with everything. he said the bike has been laid down. if you look on the lower end of the bike the black metal cover for the motor is really scratched up. and from the pic it looks like the clutch lever is broken in half. but i could be mistaken and it oculd be a short one. but none the less ill offer him 2500 and see how that goes.

I'd also be careful when you take it for a ride, just in case the owner comes back and tries to say you caused something to fail/break etc...

Looks like it should serve it's purpose. A little TLC and that thing will be real nice. Good price, just make sure it runs/rides good.
