No the brakes are going to be a separate issue. What exactly does it do? When you hit the starter will it crank or no? Are your headlights on or off. Do they shutoff when you hit the starter? What does your cluster look like? Also I know this sounds obvious but make sure the battery is full. These bikes needs a full battery to run. 1 time mine would turn over good but not run. Hooked the charger to it and bam fired right up.

ok headlights are on when i turn the key on, bright or lows, the guages cluster only had the neutral switch light up and a red light to the left of it lit up, blinkers work when turned on, bike will crank all day long , but no fuel pump prime, brand new battery! this thing is killer! could it be the cdi?

Oh crap. I did this last year and it worked but I forget. From looking at the wiring diagram the black wire with the white stripe goes to the fuel cut rely when then goes to the fuel pump. The all black looks like it goes to the starter. The red and white goes to the BAS then the other goes to the fuse box. I was looking at the wiring diagram as a PDF so if the colors are off I'm sorry, some were hard to make out. Based on this I would think maybe black and red?????? But I am not positive, I am so much better with mechinical stuff. Just play around to see if you cant get it to work. I took a piece of speaker wire as a jumper. Also there is a fuse for the kill switch. Its a 10A. Make sure that is good.

Okay so I was looking at the wiring diagram again and turns out everything else I said was wrong...oops...Okay so your bike won't run and your front brake like won't work correct? I didn't think that the 2 were related. However, when looking at the diagram again the front brake light switch and the kill switch go through the same connector. This leads be to believe that maybe that harness is bad.
