Changed my signals they blink really fast "blows-hate it"
But my problem is I now have no rpm no display just the clock is up. Anyone?:icon_doh::icon_doh: And to add I have my headlight but no taillight but brake light works. |
have you check the other fuses, sound like you popped another ?
|
Ya the ones under the seat is there others somewhere?
|
Sorry I'm new to wrenching my own bike don't know much help me
|
did you check by looking or by using a meter ? sometimes the break can be really hard to see,
when you changed your blinkers, what did you disconnect and remove ? any harnesses ? |
Lol no
The one that were on it weren't right ones for the bike and the ones I got we're for my bike and year but when they came just two lights in bubble rap and that's it. Lights only had two wires on them. There was a pop at one point lol. Just have a light tester? |
ok so the whole fast blinking thing is because there is no resistance on the LED's so your E̶C̶U̶(RELAY) thinks the bulb is burnt out and is signaling you to replace it.
this can be solved by going to radio shack and getting a resistor. i picked up an 8ohm 20watt one for mine. you should probably pull the battery cables before doing any more electrical work, and make sure no wires touch the chassis or each other also post pictures of problem area's by getting a image shack, imgur, photobucket, whatever account and linking the IMG code here |
Where do you put that?
|
To the best of my knowledge, LED lights require some kind of resistor to slow down the blinking.
When you wired up the signals, did you use the green wire for ground and the wire with the white stripe for you signal? The solid wire is for running lights and should be left disconnected unless you can find a way to put it on its own circuit. My guess is you wired the signals incorrectly to the running lights and blew the fuse. |

LED load resistors, wiring diagram it goes across the two wires BEFORE the LED. and like it says keep it somewhere tucked away, insulated, etc. OR go buy a led relay, not sure the installation on that one though |
