Help me identify which fairings I have
I need to either replace my right fairing or fix it. Got a little damage recently. My fairings are not the typical ones that everybody has. I guess the previous owner bought some cheap version or something. The only part of the fairings that can easily let you know they are not stock is the connection between the upper fairing and the side fairing. Instead of the common 3 bolts that connect everything, my fairings only have one plastic fairing clip/bolt/screw thing! check out the picture below.

How about answering a few questions to help us out. What year is the bike? Is your bike an F4i or an F4? Can you give us a full bike photo and not just close up? Front, and rear photos too will help decipher your mystery.

You either have aftermarket fairings or you have OEM fairings that were repaired by someone who decided to cover up the holes for a cleaner look.
Either way, I'm guessing you can put an OEM or aftermarket fairing on, and just attach the upper hole instead of all three, so long as it's in the original location (which it appears to be). |
Thanks Aken. Does anybody have suggestions on what I can use to repair cracks in fairings?

i fiberglassed the back and then filled in the front, sand and paint

I read a post on this forum awhile back, and somebody repaired his bike with a product called Permapoxy. And it seemed to work. I am going to use this and try to repair my tail. I will take some photos and photo them when i have it completed. I bought the Permapoxy on Amazon.
