help me find out what I have.

I have searched and not come up with what I'm looking for. I bought my '06 two months ago. The dealer told me the previous owner upgraded the (one or both?) sprocket for higher low-end torque. According to a trip I took with the wife driving next to me, my speedo is high by 8-10mph at 60 actual MPH. I'm glad it's high instead of lower, so i won't be pulled over for speeding, but what can i do to find out which sprocket(s) I have installed, and/or fix the speedo issue? Obviously i need to count the teeth, but is there a way to tell which product I have?

I'm not 100 percent sure but I think a speed healer will solve this

Post some pictures of your sprockets. Someone will be able to identify them. Each brand has their own unique style. The sprocket size should be branded on it somewhere.

Most aftermarket sprocket makers stamp their brand name or model# (along with tooth count) on the sides.

You have the same set-up i do. Sprocket +1/-2 get a speed-o-healer to fix it.

would it be cheaper/do-able to trade someone for a stock sprocket/chain plus cash instead? I don't have a real desire or need to have it if i don't need it. I'm not stunting

You could do that, but you need to know what size chain you have (520, 525, 530). And as already mentioned, to find out what the exact size you're running now just look on the sprockets. There will be a part number followed by a space and then a double digit number, this number will be the sprocket size. Factory size is 16 front and 46 on the rear. So you probably have something like a 15 up front and a 48 in the rear.

where are you located? i'd be willing to throw money in and trade the sprockets and chain for ya

would +1/-2 hurt my gas mileage? I seem to be filling up more often than I thought I should be. I only filled up once and think i only rode ~90 miles til my reserve light came on...thought these bike should be getting ~39mpg driving easy

Have you checked the air filter? I had the same problem when I first got my bike and the air filter was so filled with dirt and bugs I almost gagged. Swapped that out with a new one and now I can ride about 160 miles or so before the reserve thing kicks on.
