You got me stumped. It does sound as if something is loose. Maybe the cam chain? Maybe the plugs? You should record while your revving it... always useful even if the the noise stops.

What kind of mileage? Valve clearance checks are scheduled at 16k.

The bike has a little over 11k on it. Most of which were with a sprocket kit installed, so it should actually be a bit lower.

how does it run?have you had riden another f4i in comparison? i have a few thoughts but need more video.

only 11k miles? how long have you owned it? was it abused before you? what do you know about prior history?

did you search everywhere for a loose bolt?

i would say if the video wasnt too much trouble to get... get one of the bike cold started(~120*) and let it idle for a bit, then rev it up to near ~8-9k before it hits a normal operating temp. then let it idle to operating temp, then rev it up the same way. slow revs up to 8-9k, not just a short burst. might take two videos. the two different angles(side and top) help alot, if thats possible to get again

It runs good, have not ridden another f4i to compare. But it doesn't do anything out of the ordinary as far as how it runs.

I don't know a lot, it was owned by a female. When I bought it, it had some left side plastics damage, so it was def dropped but the guy said it was going super slow and the damage reflected that. I recently got into an accident as well but it was the same.

I looked where I could, after I did the CCT it went away for a while but after a little ride, after being down for sooo long it started up again.

I can make another video nah it's no biggie, with the specifics you want. What are you thinking so far? I'll get a new vid up tommorrow.. What do you mean about a view from the top? Thanx man.

Sounds like internals. A loose bolt wouldn't "rattle" like that. I thought like a washer at first, but it was too quick and loud to be that.

Sounds like a grinding of some sort. Does it make that sound when you're in first with the clutch pulled in not moving? My thought is that a manual transmission is always in motion, you just move depending on when the clutch is engaged. So if whatever "flywheel" (thinking cars cause I don't know the bike term) is rubbing on the clutch, or is loose somehow, that could be making the sound?

Plus, you said it does go away when you start moving? But will come back periodically? Because that could still apply the the clutch/'flywheel' theory.
