Help!

PLEASE DON'T NOT SAY READ THE STICKY AND SEARCH I ALREADY DID LOL!

Alright, I have been reading up about CCTL. I posted a thread before asking about it. I don't think the noise my bike makes is the CCTL.

From what I have read the noise of a bad CCTL is like a can full of marbles or bees.

Alright here's the thing.
I notice my bike makes a weird noise between 6000-6300 rpms. And only that range. I notice it will only make that noise it I left go of the gas or ride in that range. I don't hear it when I accelerate. But I have heard it sometimes if I accelerate slow.

The noise sounds like a bad belt on a car squealing. It's a loud high pitch noise. You can feel it in the bars. It vibrates. The noise is hard to explain.

Does anyone know what this could be?
Bike is a 2005 F4i with 3500 miles.

sry man i dont think so, u might need to try taking it to a shop or something. that will prolly be your best bet, i have absolutely no idea of any problem that could relate to your symtpoms, maybe like a bearing grind but that would happen in all revs nothing quite as specific as whatu u describe

have you replaced your cctl?

o4ep3civ 05-19-2010 08:44 PM

No I haven't.

well, from reading your description over a few times it really seems like its your cctl, i also have 3100 miles on my 06' and jus recently started gettin those cctl symptoms, currently saving up and doing that project soon, really annoying sound, distracts me from enjoying the ride like i use to.

Have you checked all fairing bolts, they can vibrate

and cause wierd noises.

Off balanced wheels?

Vibration normally means something is loose.
