Hello, as i stated in my first post in the new members area, i am well a new member lol, anyway i just purchased a 2002 F4i 2 days ago with about 16k miles on it and am pretty excited about my new project, and this time i am going to document everything i can lol usually i get so excited with a new project that the last thing on my mind is taking pictures during the process. This is the 2nd bike i have owned, the first was a 05 cbr 600 RR that i bought brand new and sold 2 years ago and have kicked myself every day for doing so, hopefully i will keep this one for a long time to come. It needs alot of work and replacement parts, it has been ridden very hard and many parts need replaceing, and i have a ton of ideas running around right now lol, so here is some pics, and yes it is in rough shape

i plan on polishing the muffler a bit more before putting it back on the bike, and will take more pics then, would have taken a better pic of the right side but its 2 am and the garage is a bit crowded with my brothers bike and his wife's at the moment lol, so anyway, to be continued....

i got a couple questions, since the bike is already in peices, and the fact it needs new brakes, i was thinking of putting some brakes off a 05 600RR on it, and was wondering how big of a problem it would be to swap it over, i have the stock nissin brakes on it right now and was looking at the Tokico ones on the 05, any help would be great

If I'm not mistaken, the rear will line up however the front will not. One thing that you can do is swap the front end with a 1000rr front end and get better brakes that way but your looking at $600 - $1k to do that.Oh and welcome to the forum, its a great place with a wealth of knowledge.

Don't quote me on anything until someone else has verified it.

Sounds good, and thx =)

The only brakes that are swappable are the calipers and master cylinder from the 929. Other brakes will need the whole front end swapped to make it work properly, and that can change the dynamics of your bike drastically.

If you want a big, fun project that will make your bike more unique, go for a whole swap. If you just are trying to get it into better F4i shape, stick with OEM.
