Headlights suddenly quit??
I was out for a long ride yesterday ~400kms on my 04 cbr 600 f4i, mostly freeway so I was using the high beam a lot so that I would be more visible, and when I was about 30kms from home my headlights quit working! (no low beam, high beam, or licence plate lights) I pulled into a side street to check the fuses, headlamp fuse is good, in fact all the fuses are good, still no lights tho. So I pull out the 'main fuse' along with the 'wire connector' next to it... its also ok, so I put it back and now the lights work again.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? I assume it has something to do with the fact I had been riding for a longer than normal time and that I had been toggling the high beam on and off more than usual. Is there a relay or something in this circuit that could be giving me some trouble? I'm really worried that this might happen at night when I'm riding home (back roads, no street lights)

RE: Headlights suddenly quit??
I checked the connections as best I could in the dark... I hadnt been doing anything crazy all day except some speeding 200kmh+. I had parked the bike for about 15mins or so before heading home. The lights worked when I started the bike so they must have quit at some point while I was driving through town (50-60kmh). There were lots of street lamps so I didnt notice that the lights didnt work until I got out of town.
Its kinda funny... I had an old guy (who spoke very poor english) at an intersection say "your lights! your lights!" I was like "relax buddy the other one is the high beam" I've had so many ppl tell me that I have a headlight out that I just shrugged him off.
And like I said all I did to 'fix' it was unplug all the fuses and put them back in... that why I'm thinking a relay or something was stuck... it seemed to be the whole circuit was dead not just a bulb out... very wierd.
