Default Headlight block off plate?

So I'm looking to do some track days next season. I want to take my headlight off so it doesn't get damaged, but I need something to fill the gap left by the missing headlight assembly. Can I buy something like that? What's it called?

its called a upper race fairing. you need to get a race fairing set if you want to go on the track.
or a cheaper way is to put masking tape on the headlight.
i have never heard or seen anyone take out a headlight lense and fill it in, you might be on to something but more likely you are on something

It would be so cool though. Someone has to go make one so I can buy it.

there isanoem replacement upper fairings with the headlightspace filled in (check ebay) but if you unplug the headlight wiring harness you'll need to cross off the BAS. I will say that if you crash hard enough for the headlights to get damaged, the cost of the headlights will be by far the least of your worries.

My plan was to pull the headlight but keep the BAS in there (somehow). Should I just keep the whole assembly in there for the track?

you can go any way you want to.
a quick fix would be to tape up the headlight.
its cheap and affective.

Why do they tape up the headlights?

the tape keeps the lense from shattering into a million little pieces in a crash that would have to be cleaned up
