Having trouble getting blinker back in

Hey guys, today i decided to take a look at my blinkers, i was thinking about modding them but as for now only have the stock. I took the blinker out from where it bends and it came out very easy. Now iam having trouble getting it back in. I cant get the rubber housing to go inside the blinker arm. I just want to get it back in lol, thanks guys.

Alot of force, I don't think there is a trick to it. As far as modding goes, I cut all the rubber off down to the mounting base and jb welded to the the blinker arm. THis effectively shortens the blinker about 1.5" and keeps a stock look....only better

Just an idea. If you took off the part, which houses the actual bulb, then cut it down at a forty five degree angle, and mounted flush mounts, they could be smaller, sleeker, brighter, and seen from the sides and rear still. just an idea. Wires would still run the same, and you wouldn't even have to take the signal off.

Cut the flasher at a 45? Do you have pics?
