Handlebar End help!

My bike was dropped and the right bar end now wont come off. The left side was no problem. The screw got stripped from the drop but i was able to get the screw lose enough to where I can get vice grips on the screw head to spin it. The screw spins freely but wont back off anymore. The screw looks alittle bent when I spin it. How can I get this off? Thanks

What would I drill? The screw that holds the bar end is kinda long plus its spins free in there. I just cant get it out. I understand if the head of the screw was just stripped then I see what your saying, like using easy outs but I can spin the screw with my fingers.

You could hold the bolt with the vice grips, then drill it til the head is off, allowing you to remove the bar end. That way you can atleast see what is going on. Maybe the weight broke loose and is spinning (?). With the bar end off, you could wedge the weight and have more to grip with the vice grips. :icon_shrug:

Try pulling it out and turning, and with more force on the pulling. If it's spinning freely that just means the threads are toast, but it's still caught.
