Default Handle bar lock

Hi all since falling off (at low speed) the other week I have replaced parts that needed replacing but noticed one thing.

The amount I can lock the bars left and right is different? Can anybody say if this is normal or something else is bent?

The right hand bar comes 8mm closer to the tank than the left.

The amount of lock should be the same each side, there is a small amount of adjustment forward and back on the clipons but not much.
Check the bottom of the clipons there should be a lug which locates in the upper clamp bolt space. You may have damaged / sheared that.

That’s what I thought, lugs on bottom yoke are still present, not saying it’s not bent but unsure how to check properly.

clip on was bent so I thought that was the issue but it has been replaced and still the same. Obv clip on is straight now.

I'll try to remember when I get home.

To be clear- You want the bars turned all the way left then a measurement from bar to tank the all the way right with same measurement; just like in your puc?

Left is 2" and right is 1-11/16"
My bars have never hit the ground - wish I could say the same for the right bar end that actually fell off while I was doing about 60, somehow I was able to find it!!

Thanks for the info buddy 👍 seems like its standard for them to be 5/16 (8mm) difference atleast it’s reassured me that my bike is all good👍 3 days spent chasing a fault that wasn’t there 🤣 that’s some good luck finding the bar end..
