H7 Replacement?
Hiya fellas,
I know this is a recurring topic, but I just came back from searching and can't find the specific info I'm looking for. I'm looking to simply replace both light bulbs on my 01' F4i, but can't remember if the stock bulbs are H7. Also, I'm almost positive that I saw a lil' how-to on replacing stock bulbs without fairing removal. Thanks for any input fellas. BTW, any brands anyone recommends would be great too. |
Dont remember the bulbs numbers but all you have to do for replacement is take of the air duct covers and wala.. You can take out hte bulbs and replace them!
Step up to some H.I.D's you will never go back!! =) |
Thanks for the info Yog!
I hardly ride at night, bout 99% of my riding is from 10am to 5ishpm, so maybe in the future I'll consider an HID kit. For now, the $$$ is short, and all I really want is to replace the bulbs for the state inspection since the low-beam has gone out :( |
H7 is the size. Two prongs.

Many thanks Stephens.

I myself got yellow h7's off of eBay a set will cost you about 15 shipped. I figured it would make me much more visible to others, and in which it does.

I say spend 59 bucks and get the HID's. Best money you will spend. Get the 6000K, they are the brightest.

i'd say they would just clip right in as the usual bulbs do (h7) but if you have small enough hands you and just reach in behind the handlebars and change the bulbs out.
I purchased blues bulbs 8500k off ebay, they look nice and they are pretty bright, they do have a 6 month warranty as well but they do seem to burn out rather quick, but they usually just keep sending you new ones if you don't mind the wait. HID's are more expensive but have a much better life span. |
