Light propane torch, adjust to low flame. Heat only to bubbling. Pick off with fingernail. Apply to bedpost. Put out fire on tire.

ehhhh...on the tire?
Why not? liquid nitrogen will have the same effect as those "gum freeze" cans or an upside down keyboard cleaner can.

I'd be concerned about using brake cleaner. The compressed air can sounds like a good idea. I was thinking you want to harden that stuff up, then you should be able to remove it.
why would you be concerned about using brake cleaner?
