GPS - Magellan Roadmate 1440, any experience?
I'm looking to pick up a global positioning system but with so many out there I'm at a loss as to what to get.
I can't afford a "motorcycle gps".
I really like Magellans interface the best, and I've used Garmin, Tomtom and Nextar.
The only bad thing I could see about the Magellans would be the battery life. I think they're listed at 3 hours. The garmin I had laster at least 4 hours, if not more.
I actually take 3+ hour drives all the time. If it's a weekend thing, sometimes 8 - 10 hours.
If I am riding the bike to work and taking it to jobs, its usually only 3 hours or so.
Also, checked the RAM mount website and didn't see an exact listing for a mount with the 1440.
Has anyone used a Magellan at all on a bike and have any impressions?
