Got a question
A guy is trying to sell me a 600f4i with 1,200 miles, but it has a messed up piston, one of the sprockets is bad, and there are pressure cracks in the fairings from him stunting it. He's asking $1,500 and I know it can't be worth that. So if I want the bike what price should argue him down to?

Where to begin...
What year is it?
What does he mean by stunting?
How could it have so much damage and only 1200mi?
Sounds like you got a lot of work ahead of you to get this bike back together. I'd suggest searching more for a bike with past that's not quite as shady. You just don't know what your getting with this thing.
Good luck!

yea pits is right, tally up a list and figure if it worth it or not, me personally would never buy a stunted bike, no matter the cost

In this case, it sounds like this bike has had quite a traumatic past, and my personal advise would be not to go anywhere near it. For that low of mileage it's got waaaay too much stuff wrong with it, and that's just the apparent stuff. F4i's are built like tanks, so if it's been abused bad enough to have that much wrong with it, who knows what else is broken or getting ready to break. It's just a can of worms I would NOT want to risk diving into.
Just my $0.02

RE: Got a question
I agree with everyone else. Stay far away from this bike. How do you get a bad piston at 1200 miles? My guess would be it's spent it's entire life bouncing off the rev limiter.
I'm also going to say that there is absolutely no way the engine was broken in properly.
I think you're going to end up spending $5000 on this bike to get it back to good condition, so you might as well buy one that hasn't been abused like that.
It's a tempting deal, but I think you'll spend more time replacing stuff than actually riding that bike.
good luck man!
