Default Good Price for insurance?

So tomorroow, I may purpose the bike after some inspections and a test ride. Anyhow I am interested in purchasing a 03 F4i w/ 8k miles. I got a quote from State farm for $537.44 which equals to about $47.00 a month for full coverage.($500 deductible)(my driving record is spotless btw).

Does that sound reasonable?

There are many accounts that State Farm is the least expensive out there for bikes.
Be aware that State Farm will only issue motorcycle insurance coupled with a car/truck/home policy.
And the great thing for us that only ride half the year because of cold/snow is that they offer 6 month policies which I've found is impossible to get in the motorcycle insurance world.
I'm waiting for my car+bike insurance to run out with Progressive and jump over to State Farm and save some money.

I only carry liability and it's $300 for 12 months with Progressive for my 2001 CBR F4i.
I was only paying $100 for 12 months on my 2001 Honda Shadow and 1999 Suzuki Bandit.
And $200 for my 1999 Kawasaki ZRX1100.

That sportbike penalty really sucks and the fact CBR's are like 3rd on the list of most stolen bikes.

wow, well i have to say that being 19 really sux then haha. I have an 06 F4i and for full covravge with progressive my 12 month is about 5k.....now thats a bit in the *** haha. I got 50/100/25 on uninsurred drivers and insuraing ohters if its my fault. then i got a 1000 Comprehensive and collisions deduciable. i dont think being 19 and having 2 speeding tickets helps any though lol....i hope it goes down sometime soon!

im 22, been there done that. you just gotta be patient. i swear its a learning experience. i had 8pts on my license when i was a late teen. just drove stupid. its a wake up call when you pay $300 a month liability on a '93 toyota t-100 w/ OVER 100K miles on it , and it lasts for THREE YEARS!!!!

live and learn.
