is this a good deal??
 

Okay, so right now i have a 02 f4i with 35k miles on it. Today i was on craigslist and saw a 05 zx6r with 3500 miles on it, and im going to meet up with the guy tomorrow. Hes wanting $3500 but i can probably lowball him to $3000, im good with talking:P So i just want to know, do you guys think this is a good deal? any advice would be appreciated, and for those who has owned a zx6r, are they good bikes?:icon_wink:

2 of my friends have that bike! I've hopped on both of them and enjoy riding them. Much more aggressive riding position, better breaking...the only thing I don't really like about them is the throttle is "tighter"? It's a little harder to turn...I'm sure if I didn't put so much time in on my f4i I would never notice... My friends ninja has just under 20k and the only issue he has had, and it was just the other day, FI light came on. No issues other then that, he's had the bike since 9k miles. He is right next to me tellin me 2 tell you 2 get it.

If youre on the market for a new bike it certainly sounds like a good deal. As long as its in good shape and mechanically sound id do it. Ive always been a big fan of the 05-07 kawis though so im a little biased. Ill trade you my 05 rr for it :icon_teeth:

cbrken, thanks for the input I've checked out videos and reviews for the zx6r And I might just have a new bike tomorrow morning.

Seems a little low for the miles. But price can be affected by a lot of things (the fact that it's almost December, for instance). Check it out, see what kind of condition it's in. Ask for it to be started, yadda yadda.

Checked it out this morning, the rear fairing has been replaced and the tires looked pretty worn, theres no way that the bike only had 3500 miles on it and the guy had it sitting for over a year, second owner. I asked if i could give it a spin and he took a long time to reply so i just said forget it its not even worth it. Ill just save my money and upgrade to an RR in the near future.
