Default get so aggravated...

Hey guys. Every time I lube my chain and take the bike for a spin, the lube comes right off onto my tire, frame, and everything else behind. I get so aggravated sometimes because I just washed my bike and now the back end is filthy again. You guys have the same problem or not?

Happens all the time. Just have to deal with it. I'd rather have a dirty wheel than an unlubed chain.

a dim light bulb there! if you wash the bike with a hose after you put the lube then you will wash off the lube that you just applied.
anyway, this happens all the time. i dont now why are you so upset; but my question to you is, how are you getting lube on the tire?
i seen the oil on the undertail, swing arm, wheel, and kickstand. how are you getting oil on the tire? too much oil may be?

oil displaces water.... there is no way it can simply "wash off" just by getting wet. You would have to aim directly at the chain and even then still it would not just "wash" all the oil off.

What about the wax some people use on their chain?

Would you guys recommend that or not?

Chain lube is like oil choices.Everyone has a different answer.

Personally i use dupont chain lube..Goes on great and within a min or so its dry aka no fling.Since i put a lot of miles on mine.THis stuff makes it simple to lube it once/twice a week ..And the chain still looks new with no dirt build up..

Try Motul chain lube. I assure you it won't come off.

I'll apply it to a warm chain, and slightly wipe the outside of the chain with a rag to get the excess. I usually don't have any fling marks. And I use Bel Ray Chain Lube. I did use PJ1 but I didn't like it because it would like gel up in my sprocket cover, then get hot and melt black all over the bottom of my fairing lol.
