Gauge question
I stated in another post how I had a brake fluid leak from the master cover, well I fixed that then I was cleaning up the brake fluid with brake cleaner and that was yesturday then today I noticed my gauges had white spots all over it... The over spray from the brake cleaner got onto the black part of the gauges and turn white damnit... Does anyone know how I could get these white spots off? I tried soap and water, Engine degreaser and nothing. Thanks

That sucks....
The only thing I can think of is sand and polish but that's gonna be a PITA on that imitation CF look the cluster case is molded in. I think you can get replacement cases though. Someone posted a link not too long ago in another thread... |
As a first chance I would try mequire plast-x or plexus. Both seem to work wonders.

I'm not sure if that's something you can fix. If I'm not mistaken, brake fluid on paint is like bleach on dark clothing. I hope I'm wrong and you can clean it up, but as far as I know brake fluid is decently corrosive to the right materials.

Brake cleaner etches the surface of some plastics. I think that's the problem he's got |
