Gas in throttle body?

Ok, I've had a million issues with this thing already, but I'm just gonna focus on this one I haven't been able to find answers for anywhere else. It's an '02 F4i. It was running for a second, then when I went to start it, it wouldn't do anything. It was hydrolocked. So I took out the plugs, cranked it, and all the gas shot out. Put plugs back in. It ran fine again, then the same thing. Took plugs out again, but I noticed there was some gas in the throttle body. Not all of them, just the 2nd one? (counting from left to right sitting on the bike). It was all the way up to the butterfly. Can someone tell me why this gas keeps getting in there? I'm gonna get the injectors cleaned but I figured I'd see if anyone here had any suggestions first before I put it back together and have the same problem.

Fuel pressure regulator may be leaking into the vacuum line.

How would I check/fix that? And why would that make gas only run into one body and not all four?

No idea why its only in one throttle body but the pressure regulator is the first place to check. Run the bike for a second then pull the vaccum line that attaches to the regulator. If it has any fuel in it at all you've found a problem.

If that checks out good, next would be to pull up the fuel rail, pressurize it, and see if it drips.

What about the injectors? Couldn't one just be bad, which is why there's only fuel in one throttle body?

Sure, one could be. Pressurize the system and look down the throttle bores with the throttle plates open and see if one is leaking.

It would take a lot of fuel to get the airbox side of the throttle bodies wet.

that's the thing. the airbox is dry. can someone just tell me how to get the injectors off?

You did say that the airbox side of the throttle plates was wet on that one cylinder. Now its not?

The rail just unbolts.....
