Gas Tank seal

Default Gas Tank seal

I have a yellow seal or somthing in my tank i open the tank and there is a yellow like paint seal or somthing in my tank and its flakeing off did there ever seal the inside of tanks with somthing i am lost never seen somthing like this kinda looks like some painted the in side the take but i do not think it is paint i just dont know what to do about the flaking?

its probably a tank liner usually installed if the tank gets rusty inside it is an epoxy liner the inside of the tank was not prepared properly before it was applied i dont know how to remove an improperly installed one you might have to live with it or replace the tank
