Default Gas tank removal question!

Hey guys sorry for the noob question but I decided to take my bike apart and get the dents and tank repainted along with the other fairings, but when removing the tank I noticed these metal clamps holding on the fuel lines having no real experience i'd figure i'd ask how to take them off before breaking something. If anyone could throw me some pointers on how to remove them would be great thanks.

Below are the two pictures of the things that hold the fuel line on.

Just pinch it together with a pair of pliers

when i took mine off there were the 2 bolts on top and 2 at the bottom of the tank. then you have the fuel line that runs from the right side of the bike into the tank (wanna say its a 19m). then you have the three overflow lines that need to be removed. then two that go to the pump. i took a pair of pliers and took off the clamps for those. the ones that go to the pump will leak but it will just empy the line. wont continue to leak. but once you get those two off make sure you flip your tank upside down so it wont empty the fuel in your tank. but im sure you have drained it already.

When I removed my tank for the first time I just simply bypassed the metal clamps (because I had no Idea how to get them off lol) and went straight on down to the bolt that held the line in place to the tank. It seemed a lot easier than trying to twist off those metal clamps and breaking something. BUT before you remove the tank drain the gas with a siphon other wise you'll be stuck with a very large mess! Taken from experience!

Those are crimped fittings. The do not come off. Remove the hose at the banjo nut. Rember that there are sealing washers on both sides of the banjo fitting.

The lines with metal clips are vent lines, they don't have pressure, hence the clamps. The line with the bolts on it is your main fuel line and it will be under pressure with fuel injection, so as said before make sure you remember to install it correctly and keep the washers and fittings clean to get a good seal.

Another helpful hint, even with "draining" all the gas out, there will still be gas in the lines, place a couple of rags on under the tank while removing all the vent tubes and pressurized fuel line.

Make sure you tape up the holes good so you do get it in the tank.. some of that can lodge down in joints and be a pain getting out...
