What kind out miles are you logging on 2.5 gallons? You should be anywhere from 70-130 depending on your driving habits.

Stand the bike up straight and make sure you fill her ALL the way up that bar in the tank. Not just stopping when the handle clicks off. Pull the nozzle out and manually hold the thing up and fill to the bar.

The bike holds 4.4 gallons. Yesterday I filled up - I had been 165 miles and I put in 3.8 gallons. Unless you are just ripping on it constantly you should get north of 40 miles/gallon.
