Gas or Exhaust Odor

Gas or Exhaust Odor
Hello Forum Members,
I posted some time ago regarding a gas smell. That lead to 3 months of not riding due to damaged fuel tank. Well, I don't want to go through again, but the smell is back.
This time the smell is more correctly described as an exhaust smell. I washed the bike and it decreased the smell, suggesting that it may be the fuel that didn't completely vaporize.
If it is old fuel smells, how long should it take to dissipate?
If it is exhaust smell, how long should the smell linger?
Before this happened the bike would only smell 1-2 hoursuntil she cooled, now it's been parked 2 days and there's still an odor.

Edit: as far as spilled fuel smell, did it get into the fairings and maybe soak into the insulation (I forget if there even is insulation, my fairing haven't been off in a while). You may have to figure out how to clean or replace insulation.

RE: Gas or Exhaust Odor
Bike runs good and strong. I've been running it in the higher ranges since coming back from the track...love to feel that 10-11k hit.
AFAIK PC3 is working well.My previous practice is to allow bike to cool before bringing it indoors and there was no smell.
Synthetic Oil is dark in color. My guesses are:
Wash bike again
Change Oil
Repack exhaust
Burnt clutch (not slipping)
Burnt valves (recently had valve adjustment done)
