Just been out on it, it won't rev past 6000, feels like a fuel issue.

Any ideas anyone. When I refitted the tank I noticed the main fuel pipe is bent around so that it squashes the pipe itself. There is no other way to fit it though.

Can one of you check your pipe please and see if it is bent like mine in the pic.

Cheers

No nothing at all, the bike rides perfectly around town, I didn't know there was a problem until I went to overtake a car on the motorway. I just dies at around 6000 revs, I had to go up a couple of gears to get past so it still has plenty of torque. Got up to 80 no problem.

Could be just the narrowing of the fuel pipe causing a bit of starvation, is there a PC on board Jon

No I don't think so mate, not on the 2001 bike.

I'm pretty sure it's a lack of fuel as it runs perfectly until I really open it up. Just can't see how to route the pile any other way.

Looks like a non Honda fuel pipe, the originals are pre formed so they don’t collapse.

It looks original, it is the one with the banjo bolts on I'm talking about. I bought he bike as a cat c write off so don't know it's history or what it was like before I fixed it up.

I think I know what it is, the pipe on my tank points to the back of the bike but in the image below, it looks like it should point forward.

Someone has removed the whole fuel connection thing and put it on the wrong way. Maybe when it was sprayed it was done then.

Mine is the wrong way isn't it
