Default Threaded top air box screw

I changed spark plugs and air filter for the first time, when I assembled it all back together and put the top of the air box back on 1 screw would not thread in and when I tried to screw it in without the steel washer it would screw in and I noticed a couple of millimetre gap that would pull together fine if it would bite. Now I think it is threaded out completely and I am stuck on what to do, if someone could help me out on how to fix this I would really appreciate it. Cheers.

A single bolt out of like 10- you'll be fine. If your really worried get a slightly longer screw as you've already figured out the threads at the bottem are holding ok.

Cheers boredandstroked, yeah I ended up going with a bigger longer screw, the air box just seemed to warp slightly out of shape after I took it apart, all the heat and near twenty years of abuse I suppose somethings gotta go a bit pear shaped. I am a ****house mechanic too which dose not help my cause much. Thanks for the reply mate.
