Fuel pump whinnying loud
 

02 f4i It primes and starts fine just when I drive about two blocks away fuel pump start screaming then I loose all throttle response and Boggs down.. But will still idle.. Any suggestions? I also pulled fuel pump and the bowl was really dirty I cleaned it and blew out the internal canister filter out it back together got same results.. Fuel pump going bad or fpr?

Could be a fuel restriction problem. I'd replace the filter as blowing it out won't clean it and may have ruined the inside filtration material. Replace the rubber hose pieces on the filter as well. They can weaken with age and use causing fuel pressure to bleed off inside the tank.

Thanks.. I bought a rebuild kit for fuel pump it did not come with that filter where can I get one I can't seem to find one...

Local dealer or online site that sells OEM parts.
Try that before the pump.

Where did you find a rebuild kit for these pumps?

eBay comes with pump sock and hoses and clamps just no filter
