***fuel pump please help***f4i
**2002 cbr 600f4i**ok i have tore my bike apart to get ready for this season, it has been apart for about a week. i am now starting to put it back together, the first thing i put on was the gas tank, after i installed i wanted to make sure the fuel pump was going to work but it dosent, it will not whine when you turn the key on. i dont know if me having the bike apart has anything to do with this but here is a list of what is NOT on the bike: BOTH WHEELS, SHAIN OR SPROCKETS, ALL PLASTICS INCLUDING THE FRONT PIECE WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. does any of this have anything to do with the problem? i do not have a manuel for the bike so i dont know where the relay is so any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Yup, there is a sensor in there that when the bike falls over, it kills power to the fuel pump.

its called a bank angle sensor ( or BAS ) its a MF! but these guys are corect, it has to be plugged in for it to start the prime on th fuel pump. and if its still giving you trouble takethe F-ing thing off! bt there is a specail way to wire that to get it out, so let u know if u need help.
JDIZZEL edit: u plugged it in and it worked, sorry i cant read! but that BAS should not even be on these!!!! |
