Fuel pressure regulator problem
what does a bad fpr do to the bike just to tcheck if it is my problem ... because my bike wont rev more then 6000 rpm wen i throlltle it half way and all the way too ... i change it last week but i put a used one ... maybe this is still my problem
A bad FPR can cause several issues, mine went bad last year because i didnt' put stabilizer in it before i stored it. I was having trouble trying to start it, like it would crank over all day but wouldnt fire, would foul the plugs. I've read also if that part is failing, you can get fuel coming out your exhaust, or your exhaust smells extremely strong of fuel. My only guess for your problem is it is getting too much fuel somehow (be it just running rich from dirty air filter/your FPR is faulty providing too much gas/or bad plugs) and your not able to accelerate properly. Try checking those items first and come back with what you find. Cheers.
yeah. it's probably time to change out the fpr. But before you do. on the side of the bike with the oil window, where the clutch is housed, there's a wire that comes out and it goes to some sort of sensor that helps control the rate which the spark and fuel drop. Follow that wire and see if it's damaged.
