A bad FPR can cause several issues, mine went bad last year because i didnt' put stabilizer in it before i stored it. I was having trouble trying to start it, like it would crank over all day but wouldnt fire, would foul the plugs. I've read also if that part is failing, you can get fuel coming out your exhaust, or your exhaust smells extremely strong of fuel. My only guess for your problem is it is getting too much fuel somehow (be it just running rich from dirty air filter/your FPR is faulty providing too much gas/or bad plugs) and your not able to accelerate properly. Try checking those items first and come back with what you find. Cheers.

Check to see if the vacuum line going to the FPR has fuel in it.

if you disconnected the vacuum hoses recently, i would double check that.

how does your bike behave when you try to push it pass 6k rpm.

yeah. it's probably time to change out the fpr. But before you do. on the side of the bike with the oil window, where the clutch is housed, there's a wire that comes out and it goes to some sort of sensor that helps control the rate which the spark and fuel drop. Follow that wire and see if it's damaged.

Is your bike making a ticking noise?

nope no ticking noise, i check the codes, think it has something to do with the throttle position sensor and #1 injector.... going to check them today, also intake air temp sensor,
