Default Fuel Line Not Long Enough?

I just bought an f4i and am taking it apart to make sure it wasn't mickey moused out. How is the line supposed to run? Right now the banjo fitting on the the bottom is facing toward the rear of the bike and the line is crimped. It seems like thats how its supposed to go but its not long enough for that. Whats the deal here? Thanks in advance

Is the fuel pickup/return mechanism supposed to face this way?

im like 80% sure it faces towards the back of the bike. but i can't find any pictures to prove this
the metal return should face towards the return and the main feed goes back and to the right when flipped the proper way. like i said 80% sure
^^^^ all that is wrong,

Thanks a lot man. So the banjo faces forward and the return aims toward the throttle side? In that case, I was wondering if my fuel rail was on incorrectly. The fuel rail return is on the non-throttle side? and the fuel rail inlet is on the throttle side?

your fuel pressure regulator is on the left side of the bike where your smaller hose hooks into, the bigger hose is the banjo bolt on the right side throttle side.

Thanks that you like my thread!

In both pics, the fuel return are facing the same way. It just the pics are facing different directions.
