fuel light

Ive got a 2005 f4i. When I started it up this morning the fuel light shut off and started normal. While it was running the red fuel light would flash twice and go back off then a second or two later would do the same thing. Anyone have any ideas? Is it safe to ride?

The engine gives trouble codes by the blinking pattern of the light but im not sure if you have to do something to prompt it to give the code or itll just do it on its own like in your case. From the quick research ive done it could be your map sensor. Does the bike run and idle fine? Drop/cut rpm's? Is it running rich?

Yea i looked in the manual yesterday and figured out how to get the codes. I have three showing up. Two are for the MAP sensor/vacuum and the other is a IAT. The bike does run a lil rich because I'm running a power commander with a tune from powercommander.

alright yeah there you go. im assuming its not your vac lines and youll need a new map and temp sensor
