Front vs Rear Tread Life?

because he already has a new set, and if one is already bald, and the other is already more than half way used, why not put a NEW one on each end, and start over?? if you replace them at the same time, you don't run into a list like yours...with 3 different tires on at different times.

At this point with the OP I agree, just have the new set mounted. But after that I would just replace em as needed. Now I do buy em in sets to save money, but on occasion buy the odd rear n have it mounted from my local bike shop (its good to support your local shop(s))

I usually replace both tires at the same time, unless I really trash a rear (only happened once, too many burners). Typically I can find someone to buy my fronts for a small chunk of money, and I give the rear to one of my stunter buddies.
