front sprocket cover?

Default front sprocket cover?

does anyone not run thiers? i took mine off and ther was tons of crap built up from chain lube, road grime etc... i put it back on, just wondering if anybody ditched the cover to help with keeping the countershaft sprocket area clean.

i thought about taking mine off....until i saw how much grime it collected. That **** would sling all over my bike in place not even a toothbrush could fit...Im probably going to cut a giant hole in it though so you can see the sprocket

i've ditched mine...i don't have any build up or grime or anything...i use belray chain lube

i considered ditching my cover, but there are quite a few wires that run close to the sprocket and those three drain tubes run right over it when you take it off. i dont know if you guys have noticed the same thing, but it kind of worried me so i put it back on. if that sprocket were to get a hold of those wires, i am sure the sprocket would win. just something to think about. might want to zip-tie them out of the way or something...

yes...they are zip tied....
