buddy wiped out, bike slid into a pole, broke his clutch cover. The bike will go into first, but it won't go into any other gear. His new cover will be here friday, but I don't understand why it won't shift. What else could have been damaged that won't let his bike go into gear?

 

wierd, have u tried kickin the **** out of it?

 

was the actual shift lever hit? lots of things that can go wrong when you throw a transmission at a pole.

 

im not sure about anything. i haven't seen anything, I Only know what he told me. I thought it was weird too. I hope he didn't totally ruin the trans. we got a lotta riding to do and a trip to florida in feb.

 

are you rolling it around a little in between gears? trannys often times don't shift well while stationary...
