Hey guys,

New on the forums bought a new bike about a month ago, cbr f4i 02' with 13k miles on it. Rode about 1k so far, I have had a couple of problems with it that I'll list below:


-Filled it up all the way at a gas station and it died on me. Died on me several times while trying to start until I had to roll the throttle while turning it on and keep the RPM high or else it would die. Smelled a lot of gas, but rode home fine after and no problems.

-When I start it in the morning there's a lot of white smoke which could just be water/condensation, but I also see gasoline coming out of the exhaust. It's a mixture of water/gas. White smoke stops when it's warm. Strong smell of gas.

-Today after it warmed up it was idling at ~800rpm, the temp range being from 180F-205F, highway/city riding. This seems like a low idle. It didn't feel like it lost power, but because it's a new bike I could be wrong.

It was a raced bike for most of its life. Also I can hear the CCT rattling, so I'll be changing that out too in a week or so.
