i dont check my fork oil level, and i usually clean the fork legs, and recently replaced the forkseals because they were leaking. Other than that i dont service this area if it itsnt needed, just keep them shiny and keep on eye out for leaks.

I've never cleaned/looked at them. I have no idea what to look for, and I'll probably ask the dealer next week.

Fork oil is generally changed when the forks have to come apart for some reason like to replace leaking seals. It doesn't really need attention if there are no leaks anywhere. That said, fork oil can get scuzzy and oxidized after being in there for years. Changing it once in a while is not a bad idea even if there are no problems, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it.

Never checked. 7000 miles on the clock. No leaks. ....And i've slammed them hard quite of few times bringing a wheelie down to hard like a squid. :icon_eek:

I check for leaks once in a while. If my seals aren't leaking, I don't mess with them.

I changed the oil while doing the fork seals and it made a world of difference. The oil had about 30,000 miles and 2yrs on it. I plan on replacing it every 15-20,000 from now on.
