FNG on 06 F4i price/value
I did try the search engine.
KBB and NADA are about $7k apart. Online adds are just as confusing.
I would greatly appreciate some info on a decent purchase price (from private seller) on a 2006 F4i.
As new, mind condition
Purchased in '07, 700mi
3year warrenty left
thank you!

RE: FNG on 06 F4i price/value
when you mentioned 7k apart, do you actually mean that the price difference is $7,000 or was that a typo?
If the asking price is $7k http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/2006...fications.html
Shows the retail value at$8,500 back in 06.From knowing that would i pay $7k, no probably not.

RE: FNG on 06 F4i price/value
It depends on if that's the bike you REALLY want. If I had $6,000 - $6,500 I would put that on a down payment for an 07-08 CBR 600rr (but that's just me).
Or you can take the money and buy an 01-03 F4i for $3-$4000 that may have a few thousand miles, and come with additional stuff I.E. bike stand, gear, etc... then that will leave you with roughly $2,000 dollars to do with what you like *cough* invest or fix/repair.
This is the start of bike season so bike sells well be higher than normal.
If you can wait on buying a bike, I would. BTW, I am not the biggest fan of the banana seat so I have a tendancy to stay away from me...that's me.

RE: FNG on 06 F4i price/value
I got lucky, but on ebay I have seen this bike going for anywhere from $4500 - $6000
Like I said, as it warms up its getting harder to find a good deal.
If you have the money, buy a bike, ride and enjoy life....
check craigslist too...but ebay has the best deals....

I don't know how much "room" alott folks were planning to drop on with the listed price (cycle-trade and various city craigslist) but a lower-mileage '06 F4i seemed to average in the high $6k's.
OTD from a dealer on the same bike in 2007 as a brand-new '06 I guess would be in the high $7k's?
